Glories and short history of Sri Sri Radha Madhava Mandir
Sri Sri Radha Madhava have been installed about 350 years ago by a brahmana landlord, who also built a beautiful temple for Them. They have been served through the following generations. Yet about 30 years ago it happened, that the descendents of that family just engaged a brahmana in Sri Sri Radha Madhava's service, while they themselves had diverted from the brahminical way of life and engaged in inauspicious activities.
They did not care properly for Sri Sri Radha Madhava, and thus commited aparadha. Then it happened that within 6 months, 5 of the 7 brothers died by accident, one after another. Also so many other disturbances happened to that family. The mother of them was suffering a lot, and by divine inspiration she understood the cause of their suffering. She thus decided to search for a real sadhu, and to donate the mandir to him. When she met our Gurumaharaj, Nitya Lila Pravishta Om Vishnupad 108 Sri Srimad Bhakti Vaibhava Puri Gosvami Maharaj, the founder acharya of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mission, she surrendered at his lotusfeet. Crying, she told him what had happened, and requested him to accept Sri Sri Radha Madhava Mandir as a donation. Gurumaharaj, an ocean of mercy, accepted her request, he accepted Sri Radha Madhava Mandir along with some land on Sri Madhava's name, and took charge of the service of Sri Sri Radha Madhava. From that day on, like a miracle, all the disturbances to that brahmana family stopped, and until now no accident ever happened again. Gurudeva slept alone in the natya mandir for 10 or 15 days many times, offered Sri Sri Radha Madhava the best worship and prayed to Them. In that time the Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mission had not yet spead out far, it was quite small with a few members only. Then, by the great powers of Sri Sri Radha Madhava, and Gurumaharaja's pure devotional service to Them, within a short time the tree of the Sri Krishna Chaitanya mission spread out widely, with it's many big and small branches, among its branches are famous branches such as Puri, Vrindavan and Mayapur in the holy dhama, and also others. Gurudeva is well known with his divine qualities such as being fully attached to the guru, being situated in knowledge of the guru's inner mood and desires, following properly his Guru's teachings, he serves to all with great affection, and is purehearted, devoid of the desire for women, money and fame and free from the tendency to critizise others. Thousands of devotees took shelter of Gurumaharaja's lotusfeet, and are practicing devotion under his guidance. Sri Sri Radha Madhava are the very root of the Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mission, and the mandir is one of the seven branches, that formed the Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mission at the beginning. As a root is situated under the earth and is invisible to others, it's glories are known only to a few intimate desciples of Gurumaharaj. Knowing well the importance of watering the root of the tree, to nourish the whole tree along with it's many braches, leaves and flowers, Gurumaharaj put Radha Madhava Mandir in charge of his very intimate disciple, who serves Sri Sri Radha Madhava with the help of a few other renounced devotees, and by Gurumaharaja's mercy spiritually all is going well also until now.
